Growing up in Guatemala, Adriana Alarcón’s interest in design grew out of the time she spent in her dad’s small studio and printing business. What started as a curiosity for his Mac computer (one of the first in the country) soon became a passion for art and design. A graduate of York University, Adriana holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts focusing on Cultural Studies. For the last 20 years, she’s been working as a graphic artist and designer and print advisor in Winnipeg and Toronto. Adriana draws inspiration from thought and consideration, pondering on a solution to the questions asked by a project. Adriana is a proud Latinx, cis-gender artist living on Treaty 1 territory in Canada.
